When I shop at flea market and see any type of cart or furniture on wheels I get super excited. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s just that little detail that makes it really original and old-looking. I once almost brought home a 9 ft industrial cart, but decided against it only because it did not fit in my car!
I feel like I’m always in the market for a great coffee table. I love the idea of one one wheels.
Reclaimed Cart Coffee Table from Indigo Furniture a super, cool British furniture company) Check out Indigo Furniture!
While my kids were very tiny I used an ottoman on casters for my coffee table and it was invaluable. I was able to push it out of the way easily to create space for the kids to play.
Not every piece in your family room needs to be vintage or look old, but adding one old piece like this will add interest. Compliment it with some antique accessories, but don’t go crazy. Balance.
Chippy paint is a good thing. It will not make your room look messy or stick out if you surround it with good quality case goods. Check out the tufted couch contrasting this cart (below).
Outdoor space love.
Think outside the coffee.
PS – I was happy to be contacted & mention Indigo Furniture in this post.
I love Indigo Furniture!
Hey there,
Love your videos…I just watched the weathered look video. You used the old white. I was wondering if I could achieve the same look with the graphite? Will it work as nicely? I have an old oak table that I want to use in my dining room and several pieces in my dining room are shabby chic’d black etc…Just wondering if I should try it…
Christen- Love your class, both with your creative expression/style and how you continue to excel with confidence despite criticism. I have been a lover of Annie Sloan chalk painted furniture from afar for quite some time now. Your site, videos have been my inspiration as well as gleaning from other blogs. I’ve tried to take in all the beauty and patiently learn what I could to assist me one day when I would take the plunge and invest wisely in my first AS choices. Yea–yesterday was the day!! Can’t wait to begin. Thank you so very much for the time you sacrifice writing your blog and sharing your talents and life, so that those of us needing inspiration, can indulge as well.
