For Sale: Vintage Toledo Drafting Stool

I was obsessed with this stool about ten years ago and found this beauty on eBay. I had it shipped here and it was loved. I now don’t have space for her and she is looking for a good home.

You have probably seen these pop up at Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware and anywhere you find stools. They do a pretty good knock off, but this is original, which is always more special, I find 🙂

Here is a reproduction:

RH 1940S VINTAGE TOLEDO BAR CHAIR $315

Here are a few more images of the one I’m interested in selling.

They are going for $300 plus on ebay.

I am listing mine at $200 for pick up. If interested feel free to email: cbensten@blueeggbrownnest.com

Also, I wanted to let you all know that I’ve become a foster mom. I’ve been working with Homeward Trails, a local shelter, for about three years now and have fostered almost 40 kitties. It is a labor of love and I think I get more out of it than the kitties. I wanted to share a picture of sweet Daisy. She was found in a dumpster in West Virginia and came to me with pneumonia, unweight and refused to eat. She had to be hospitalized for a week, but then we rehabilitated her back to heath. She is now in a loving home with her brother. I have new kitties and cats all the time so if you are looking for more love in your life I think I’ll show you all a picture/s of my kitties in need at the end of a post. xo

Favorite Things Friday – last minute cuteness

I start my Christmas shopping in September because I know I’m going to run out of time. However, as it gets closer to the 25th I start freaking out that I’m not going to have enough little treats for the kids and my DH to open and usually make a trip to the dollar bins at Target 🙂

This year, Pottery Barn has come out with some super cute stocking stuffers and I had to make the babysitter stay late so I could rush over to the mall with the other thousands of shoppers. Oh, Tysons Corner friend & foe.

This Safe Bank will be going in my DH’s stocking so he can save up for our next anniversary trip far, far away from the maddening crowd.

And this Snail Tape Measure I will keep tucked away with me as I got to my design meetings. Who wants a big, old yellow plastic tape measure when you can have a silver snail?

We certainly don’t need these Nutcrackers from Antique Farmhouse and in fact we have never cracked a walnut in our home before, but I think they are so pretty to have out displayed somewhere. Maybe in a cute mason jar or silver tumbler or a console.

Filigree Glass Box also from Farmhouse. Super vintage & stylish for any room, any surface.

I love you little Egg Crates from Anthropologie.

Wooden Tic Tac Toe from Napa Style! Now how to keep those pieces from getting lost?

Here’s to stuffing those stockings!
