We all know home styles change as does furniture & design. If are like me, you get bored with the same old same old and want to keep up!
Over here things go out of style and get worn especially with a husband, 3 kids, a dog, 4 cats and loads of foster cats (from Homeward Trails). As you know, I also like moving furniture and have been doing so since I was 10 years old.
It was time for our couches to go and after much research we landed on the Cloud Couch Collection from Restoration Hardware. We wanted big, comfy, loung – y, relaxed couches. We thought about a sectional, but if we wanted the Luxe Cloud, which is 45″ wide it would not have fit. These couches are amazingly comfortable! I think we made the right choice.
I’m also a fan of McGee and Co and Shea McGee’s show Dream Home Makeover. Have you seen it yet? It’s on Netflix. She also has a Target lined called Threshold, which I’m sure you’ve seen. She’s bit into this relaxed blue color. Thought I’d try it out with some of her pillows and a tasseled rug over my jute rug.
Reid is a fan.
Love a single cushion couch. I remember it took me forever 20 years ago to find one for my formal living room, and when I did, it happen to have a curve. They are so popular today.

I love how you have kept all your main furniture pieces neutral and accented with the blue accessories. That makes it easy to change out when you want to change it up down the road. Great job with everything you chose for the room and the deep couches look so comfy. Thanks for the info about the the Netflix show, I will start watching this week. I’m always looking for ideas as I would like to downsize and move to a smaller home for retirement. So trying to get ideas on what style to go with st that time. Where’s all the kitties you mentioned? I saw a glimpse of one cat on the ottoman. You should do a post on them one day. They are so cute!
