Well, we are down to the Christmas wire, aren’t we? I hope this means that you’ve arranged your plans to fit in with how you want to feel. Truly.
If you are still deciding what you really want to do with your Christmas and you are feeling pulled and pushed it boils down to – who are you going honor? For me, there is great pain in saying no to familial traditions, but I choose instead to look at what I’m saying yes to. My own little family and how I want to feel! And how do I want to feel this year?
Cozy.
I’m hooking my wagon to the idea of cozy. How do I get there? How do I accomplish this? What decisions do I have to make to find cozy aka happiness, contentment, calmness in my heart and belly, no panic attacks, no tears, no trauma response. Just cozy with the people that make me feel…cozy.
Here are a few things that make me feel cozy right about now….
I read a book a few years ago with the same name and it calls to mind so many things that bring us “cozy” and it similar to the idea of gratitude it makes me look for cozy everywhere I go. Like in the smell of firewood and sharpened pencils, the first sip of hot chocolate and holding hands with my hubby.
It’s such a sweet read if you need a little reminder. (Oh, and if you are a Law & Order fan, it’s written by the women that played Stabler’s wife. Just a fun fact.)
I am wishing you all a cozy season. And if you are some place uncomfortable, itchy, hot, stuffy – please move yourself. Adjust. Your body and mind are telling you something very important. Listen and move. xo
xo,
Christen
And, if you need a friend to help you along the ride to finding cozy, I am here. I’m on the hunt. I’m walking the walk. For more, check out my memoir to healing…
And if you have read my book, would you be willing to write a loving, 5 star review – because it helps. xoxo
