I love finding out little gems of information that I never knew about my friends. I think you can find out so much about a person when you get to go into their home and…snoop around. Well, I don’t snoop, but I try to take it all in. The way the decorate, what they eat on, what hangs on their walls.
I have a dear friend, Sarah, who is a diamond in the rough. Just the sweetest gal. I had tea at her house last week (okay, it was really a mimosa) while our littles were in preschool. As she was giving me the grand tour I notice the most amazing watercolor hanging in her baby’s room. I do alot of looking around & shopping and I have never seen these prints, “Where did you find that?”
Low and behold it was her very cousin that painted these animals and let me say that I have never seen such sweetness coming out of a painting. Take a look.
I see innocence, softness.
Have you ever seen anything like it?
The artist is Nick Lamia and he is the real deal. These are some of his earlier works and can be found and purchased on Little Collector, along with other artists’ works. You can purchase different sizes of these exact prints.
Nick is, like, a famous, award-winning artist in NY and has been mentioned in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Time Out, etc and has had hundreds of exhibitions of his work. Check out his site & his recent work here.
I think it’s so important to support artists when we can. We need to tell them that there is a place for art in our communities, schools, and the walls in our homes.

I see curiosity in the first picture. Beautiful!
