Hi Friends. Did you all decorate early this year? Did you decorate much at all? I did a bit in the hopes of trying to cheer up our 2020.
I was so excited to get my silver-dipped branches. I think I order 15 packs! But, I wanted a large statement at the door. Here’s a great resource for crafts and inexpensive decor – Save-on-Crafts.
You may remember the nutcrackers that I bought at Michaels last year and spray painted white. I still they work anywhere. Love them.
I found the wreaths and red candles at Magnolia’s Hearth and Hand line at Target.
You will see that my tree decor is, well, it’s all about the kids. I decided years ago that I’m not going to try to make it stately or perfect. I want my kids to put up all their memories and we love it that way. We try to get a few ornaments each year that remind us of that year. This means, nothing matches! Ha!

Wishing you all a beautiful and safe holiday! Thank you for all your support. Love you to you all! xo
I’m like you in that I don’t try to make a perfect looking tree. I put on all the ornaments that I love, including ones my boys made when they were little, and my tree ends up being beautiful every year! Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy holiday!
Yeah I know how this might sound. Say it’s from one to another: You are a highly evolved and autonomous individual. In re using your family ornaments (gasp) rather than giving in to the trends and photos and much-of-a-muchness. Gosh I loved seeing your old green books on the table, with your other decorations. Beloved books! Beautiful fun all around. Thank you for sharing.
thank you, Louise. agreed. old books are the perfect decor.
