It is really hard to find a great side table for a room that’s not a bedroom. This was it. I bought it and refinished it for myself years ago.
I used Paris Grey and would often show people the color when they were trying to select one for their own pieces. Well, I can never seem to leave things alone for too long and thought it time for a change. I moved the piece into my garage, refreshed it a bit and posted it. It sold the very same day.
Whenever I refinish a spindled leg I love to just take my sanding block and rub straight down for that worn look. I don’t worry about getting in every crevice because this adds to the aged look.
Right now I have no plans to replace it, but I’m sure I’ll find something I NEED in the future 🙂
Love this piece… I really like the colors that you choose for your pieces. Do you plan to do any more tutorials? They are helpful and fun to watch.
That is such a lovely table! It doesn’t surprise me that it sold the same day you listed it.
I love the table but absolutely ADORE the blue and white decorative bird vases on top! Are those new or vintage? If new, where could they be purchased?
Hi
I’m from Adelaide South Australia, I’m loving your Blog/ tutorials.
I’ve always loved creating, but I especially love giving life back to old unwanted furniture, ever since I was little I have collected things that people discard, and now have virtually decorated my home with second hand furniture it’s so pleasing to hear so many people wanting to do the same thing and I agree chalk paint is a lovely paint to use it gives a lovely patina, I have completed a couple of projects and I’m addicted, we had to drive to the Barossa Valley which is a wine district approx an hours drive through the Adelaide Hills to a little town called Angaston to buy the paint and wax, on the way back stopped in Tanunda (5 min drive from Angaston) & found the most gorgeous gift shop to spend the next 30 minutes talking to the lady there about her Annie Sloan Chalk Paint revivals, I had the best day.
All the best with your future projects and Thank you for your beautiful posts
Kind Regards
Joanne from Adelaide SA
