Love how this little desk and mirror turned out.

Here is the before. I gave the client a choice. She could have me lightly sand the nicks and then paint and distress or for a small service fee I could take an electric sander to the whole darn top and work them out. She choice the light sand, which is totally what I would have done too.

Any nicks will just add to the overall aged look of a piece.

    Thank you for posting these. I draw inspiration from them. I love painted furniture! I found two captain’s chairs this past weekend, for free! Going to paint them French Linen and recover the seat cushions. Exciting!

  3. That’s just adorable..did you whitewash it or just paint one coat? Also, what kind of brushes are those featured in one of the photos? Very pretty!
