I’ve received many sweet compliments directly from Annie Sloan herself, including this one last week,”I love what this lady does. Very well put together.” So glad she approves of the way I use her paint.
She has two tutorials out that I wanted to share with you all on her technique. I love that she affirms that the paint should not be applied cleanly or with a clean look. It’s about finding those discrepancies that make the piece have charm and character.

I’ve had the experience of clients being a bit gun/paint shy to let me go to town with the distressing process, but it is the look of the chalk painted piece and I find that once it is in the home it just adds more beauty & originality.
Take a look at these videos and embrace the look! I plan on doing a few video tutorials myself this fall. Stay tuned.
