Before we fall into Fall I should show you how the deck that DH and my children built this summer turned out.
You may remember that they were all very involved in the process.
…and we all survived. The iron railings went up a few weeks after just in time to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday al fresco.
Love the space, but the best thing that came from this recent project is that Reid now says he wants to be a builder. We can totally help you with that, my Love.
Love your style! Kudos to your wonderful husband and the beautiful job on the deck! I have a question on a different topic. I am painting a dining room pedestal table that is shiney dark brown and would like a shiney black distressed on the edges look. Would you use Annie Sloan paint for this? Their black is a gunmetal look and I prefer a brighter black. The chairs I will use with the table are a rustic cream frame with tan linen upholstery. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I live in a new home with a few rustic pieces .
Love it Christen,
Would love to see the view from that deck too 🙂

Great job and good family pride. And if Reid finds something he likes well that is a bonus. It is a great thing when kids help out and it becomes something they can use in later life.. Now Reid, what’s next?
