So, after making a little bit of money selling my first few pieces I decided to treat myself to something that I’ve been wanting for my bedroom – a chaise. I shopped around, measured (which admittedly I am very bad at) and finally found one via Pintrest.
Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture. Even the site is calming. Country, cottage, white, vintage. Let me crawl in there and just take a long winter’s nap.
How was I going to get this beautiful piece when it looked like the shop was in the UK. I emailed. I called. I begged. I heard back and told them that I needed it before the Washington Post photo shoot. I got an email from their NYC presence. They shipped it and it arrived the day before!
It’s a perfect little nesting spot to check all your wonderful emails!
I must admit that maybe it would have been more wise to reinvest this money, but a part of me thought if I decided to stop painting & selling & blogging then I wanted a least one little tangible treasure that I could look at and say I bought that through my labor of love. And paint.
You also may recognize the name Rachel Ashwell because she has a great Target line!
P.S. Thank you to all those that inquired about the Meg side tables. I realize these little tables are always the first items to sell. I promise to will find more!
P.S.S. I am uploading more pictures of the accessories that I will have available for Sunday’s Open House 1-4. Again, if interested in coming by email me for directions.
P.S.S. Thank you to Jennifer for all the new marketing help & advice! Great ideas!
I think it’s wonderful that you treated yourself and I just love the chaise. I don’t think I’d move if I was surrounded by such beauty. I adore the piece next to it with the plants/books in it. What is it and where did you find such a great piece? Thank you.
