I love the idea of bringing some sense of history and style into your kitchen with old cutting boards – stacked or solo.
You can find them all over Etsy, like the ones sold at OneFairfaxRoad shown here.
Check out your flea markets, vintage shops and if still no luck Pottery Barn sells some great reproductions. No shame in that as long as you have the look down 🙂
I remember first seeing a stack against the backsplash in Barefoot Contessa’s kitchen and if she’s doing it “now how bad can that be?”
And when you are hosting a dinner party, pull a few out to display a few beautiful hunks of soft cheese. Maybe even use those cool chalkboard labels; a bit of fig jam. Now I’m drooling.
Collect a few different sizes in your travels and leave them out to enjoy.
I was at a consignment shop this weekend and found an enormous pizza board with something like a 5 ft handle. Kicking myself for not getting it. It was so much fun!
Oh I love bread boards!!!
Cool, I love the old boards. I can often find a good many of them at our local flea markets.
You have a nice site, love all the pictures.
I make cutting boards, check out my site.
