…and it’s for sale!
You may remember me talking about Helen the photographer and what a cool gal she is. We talked about her barn, her organic farm, her business, her kids and her amazing cupboard that she is trying to find a loving home for. Gasp – look how beautiful!
The piece is Swedish and the date per Helen reads either 1880 or 1830. She bought it from Gaines McHale which was a huge antique store in Baltimore and most of their furniture was imported from Europe. There was a twinge of blasphemy in the air as I suggested she chalk paint it. Gulp. Didn’t quite know HOW old it was.
This piece is not for the faint of heart or those of us on a, ahem, flea market budget. But, if you are a serious fan of this piece and wish to learn more, please email me directly and I’ll try to answer specifics: cbensten@blueeggbrownnest.com
