Last year I threw a Christmas party for some of my dear mom-friends and their hubbies. It was a wonderful celebration. I got so carried away with the decorating that I went all out and it landed in Romantic Homes Magazine (coming out this month). This year I decided to do something a bit different, a bit more my style – a tea party.
I must give the credit to my client, Alisa, who told me all about her annual holiday tea. What a marvelous idea! I love tea! I love tea cups! I love my girlfriends!
I started with tea cups.
For me, everything centered around the tea cups. I wanted every tea cup to be delicate and vintage. I shopped antique stores around my area to no avail. I quickly turned to Etsy for help. Etsy is always a great resource when shopping vintage & antique.
My tea cups, saucers, creamers and dessert plates came from sellers Canada, England and Pennsylvania. Most, if not all, were made in England.
I didn’t mind investing in my tea cups because I would like this holiday tea to become a tradition. I also promised my girls that they could throw their own tea party once I was finished this year.
What a great idea and congratulations on being published!
I love tea also and this is fabulous idea. Tea must be in china cup in order to fully appreciate it – only true tea drinkers know that! 🙂 Have a wonderful party!
