Cheers to the end of summer and the warm, marshmallow-sticky, firefly nights. Our sun-stained skin is slowly paling and soaked bathing suits are replaced with squeaky school shoes and sharp pencils. We move into Fall and refresh the refresh button. Your clean air is healing. Like a blue sky. Welcome, September, with your knitted sweaters, apples freshly picked and the first night on the couch in front of the fireplace. You were always my favorite. I will bring my book and steamy cup of coffee and meet you gladly.

I love your writing style and post for Labor Day. Just watched your Weathered Wood tutorial as I am about to try out Provence on a chest for my daughter’s room. New to Annie Sloan and soooo excited about the possibilities. This project has moved me off home base in this home we moved into 2 months ago – have boxes in the corners of every room but now I’m excited about “nesting” and making it a home! I wish you a glorious September with your family – you seem like the kind of person to enjoy every minute with your children and husband.
