Luckett’s Fall Market Recap

October 25, 2021 by christen | 2 Comments

First of all, thank you to all those faithful readers of mine that came out, gave me hugs and said hello – I love you so very much! Truly. Your support throughout the years continues to hold me up and inspire me. There are good people in the world!

Second, I had a blast at Lucketts. I was a part of a bustling community of vendors from all over the country. I was located in the Dairy Barn. Some of my neighbors included: Cosmic Girl Goes Home, Vintage Culture Antiques, Pat and Jerry from Backroad Antiques and JBS Mercantile.

It started with a late night (7:30pm when I would otherwise be in my pjs) loading of the U Haul with the kids. Thursday was set-up day at the Berryville Fairgrounds and VIP shopping started on Friday at 8:30am SHARP. I have been one of these shoppers many times in the past and people start lining up early and come in ready with their carts and bags. Most of them have shopped the show before so they knew the drill. However, there were a few lost souls out there that confessed they were overwhelmed (to the sweet woman that bought my memoir as the only purchase because everything else was too crazy, thank you).

Saturday and Sunday brought out a ton of shoppers as well. After looking around I’d say most of the vendors were very successful. I loved having the market in the fall!

My girls even came out to help. If you’ve followed me for a while, you will se they are all grown up. They LOVED the experience and I loved sharing it.

My babies!

By the end of the show I was pretty cold and tired, but totally renewed in being in the company of these vendors. So, plan on seeing me again soon! Lucketts is deciding if they will do a Spring or Fall show. What do you think? One over the other? Both?

If you haven’t read my memoir Starving yet, you can find it here. I talk about my past, but also how my business helped heal me! If you have read it, would you be willing to write a kind & 5 star review here?
