Oh, my goodness, Guys. I’m scraping myself off the floor this morning after a very busy Thanksgiving season. It was all warm and wonderful, but man, I am tired. I never thought I’d be so happy to see Monday.
I haven’t had a chance to talk about my new logo. Did you notice?
I loved my old logo, but wanted to change it up a bit. I wanted a fuller, twiggy nest with three blue eggs. I can’t help but feel like these beautiful eggs are my three babies all tucked in nice and cozy. I feel blessed when I look at this image and the idea behind it. It is why you see it in my work and all over my home.
I feel proud that DH and I have built a home and a life that is safe and warm. It’s one of my intentional goals for my family – to feel loved, supported and held tightly. I really do believe that if our children know that they are unconditionally loved that they can go out into the world feeling braver and stronger. I think it’s a developmental stage for a child to go out into the wild world knowing that they can always come back home to their nest and know that they will be understood and supported.
I think coming up with a logo that means something to me is really essential. It’s almost like an anchor and if I get distracted with work or plans I can look at it and know that it represents so much more.

Wonderful! You are a great person and I’m sure a fantastic mother!
I really like the new “nest”. Very clean and updated.
First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips?
Kudos!
