foundry

Have you all seen Foundry’s new home on the Luckett’s lot? The owner, Yvette, was a vendor in Lucketts and you could spy her cool, vintage vibe from miles away. Very vintage, very British, very leather, very library, very Parisian flea feel. It’s a shade different than any of the other vintage shops you’ve been to. Promise.

I follow foundry on Instagram and have been watching them get their new home all spruced up. It’s gorgeous. I finally got out there with the family before Halloween and purchased the Union Jack pillows I had been eyeing for a long time now (yes, she has more!)

Her shop is open and she recently started selling on her site here.

Own approves.

Luckett’s Spring Market – Yes I’m overdue for an update on this one!

I may be trying to live a more mindful, intentional life, but I still love shopping for antiques and old stuff. I went to the Luckett’s Spring Market last May, tredging through the mud with two of my beloved friends that came into town just for our shopping day. The Market no longer takes place on the grounds of Luckett’s and sadly, it lost some of it’s charm for me. It felt more spread out with more vendors and some of the vendors did not have those rare gems that I look for at these markets. Luckett’s puts on a great day rain or shine, but I felt nostalgic for the shop and the vendors from the past.

Here are some of the tents and items that were really fun & inspiring.

And here are me a my dear friends, Kris and Sarah, soaked and happy.

….toasting our friendship and shopping day with cider beer.

So, my favorite vendor for the past few years has been Olde Thyme Market. I love their look so very much. I bought 4 shabby stools from them to go w/ a shabby table I also found.

I saw so many girlfriends meeting at the entrance and excitedly shopping together. Even though it’s not as it was, it is still a great day!

…in the hopper

I feel the hot sweat running down my back and the sun begging for more. I push my hair back with paint-stained fingers. The end of summer brings exhaustion, anticipation and lots and lots of picking and painting. So much so that I am steamrolling. My little business is feeling like big business at the moment.

I think I can. I think I can.

It is just me and my own two hands, but I like it that way. I am gathering and organizing and will be tagging as soon as my cute tags come in. I have a full garage and need more paint. Moving slower this morning because there is so much to move through.

Kindergarten also happened. Big tears.
