…the poppy collection

September 18, 2014 by christen | 6 Comments

I have been working with my rubber appliques from Efex and I heart them! They really add some interest and charm. Introducing The Poppy Collection.

Here’s a before and after of the dresser. It is a really beautiful piece sold to me by my friend Katie! Thanks, Lovie.

I love the look of this sweet, little wreath and the white paint. It turns the piece from something a bit more masculine to a dresser that is more delicate. And it’s on casters, which makes it even sweeter.

I decided to add a matching applique to the twin bed I am selling as well.

Once this little set starting coming together I added a  little nightstand in the same Old White.

I heart Efex too and used the same wreath on my dresser. I’m still trying to decide if I want to add gold guilding wax to the wreath — have you tried that?

I absolutely love everything you do and have been following you for quite some time now. Your youtube videos have taught me so much. I have to ask you a question, when you paint drawer fronts in a dresser etc., do you paint the inside edge of the drawers or do you find the don’t close properly if you do.
Thank you for all you do! Everything is beautiful!

I am so loving all of your work. You do an amazing job. I am so inspired by you. I read that you take a zumba class, I was doing zumba 5 days a week a bit much but recently cut back but I do love it. I am hoping to attend your show in January in Washington. Looking forward to getting all the details.

My husband and I are currently building our second home and I am so excited to decorate it, I have been painting some pieces myself for my new home.

I love all your pieces and your decorating ideas.

    Thank you
