I inherited a two matching lamps and I thought I was going to chalk paint them until I thought of another idea.
I headed to Home Depot where – did you know – they actually sell large bags of sisal? I had no idea my carpet was actually made with what originally looks like rope. I pulled out a glue gun I bought probably 6 years ago and never opened and tried it out. It’s so easy!
Round and round and round and round and round and round and round.
I actually had exactly enough to cover all the ugly ceramic. It looks a bit uneven in the photo, but that’s actually the curves of the lamp.
It has a rather tall lamp shade, which I like. I’m planning on either gluing burlap on it or trying one of those digital downloads you can get on Etsy and iron on fabric. You know I mean? Graphique has alot of great vintage images:
