A HUGE thank you, thank you to Jura with sticky buns & macaroons on top! What an amazing opportunity to share my home and what I’ve been up to! It’s an experience that I’ll never forget.
I’ll be doing a webchat with The Washington Post on chalk paint & Blue Egg Brown Nest today from 11-12. I think you can read an manuscript of it on line.

Just read the article in the Washington Post and found your blog through it! What a great article and you are so inspiring. I, too, am a stay at home and have two boys and a dog. I discovered Annie Sloan Chalk Paint a few months ago and have become addicted to painting everything! I’m looking forward to reading more of your blog. Thanks!

I enjoyed the WP article so much that I had to visit your blog. Lovely! I will soon be redecorating a guest bedroom and need some vintage pieces to go with an antique mahogany sleigh bed and I’m always looking for updates for my home. I’m glad I live close by! I will be checking your blog.

PS- The pic of your son standing on the chair in the Post is adorable!

Hi Christen,
I just read your article in the washington post and LOVED the work you are doing! I was wondering who the artwork in the photos of your house are by. Did you paint them as well? There were two larger pieces that matched the furniture they were by… and they are gorgeous!!
Thanks!
Inga

Christen,
Came across your blog through the WaPo article. Another North Virginian blogger here. Really love what you do with those pieces of furniture, especially that door near the stairs in the main pic. And the re-using clipboard idea is totally fab!
