So, a funny thing happened last Thursday. I received my Thursday “At Home” section of the Post in my inbox and the story was about a blogger. I scrolled down to find a picture of Home & Design writer, Jura Koncius. Hmmmm. Thought I’d pop her a short & sweet email just asking her to pretty please take a look at my site. She did. She emailed me within the hour asking for pictures. I sent them. She emailed me again asking to call her. I did. We talked about how I started Blue Egg Brown Nest and how it came to be. She called back at 5pm and told me I was going to be her February story. WHAT?!!! Do things like this really happen?
What do you when the Washington Post comes to your house? You clean, kick the kids out of the house, blow dry your hair and take a Xanex. This is me taken moments before shuffling the little 2 to my MIL’s house & hearing from our carpool friend that the car won’t start. My DH is quite a bit of taxicabbing today.
I had a delightful meeting at my home with Jura. After coffee & a chat I gave her a tour of the house. She is coming back on Monday for a chalk painting demo and Wednesday is the photo shoot. Keep an eye out for the article in the Living Local section of the Washington Post schedule for Feb 9th. I might mention it a few more times until then 🙂
There by the grace of God go I.
This is so exciting! Can’t wait to hear more. So happy for! Much love kw
Congrats! So exciting and well deserved!!
What a joyful surprise to find your article in the Washington Post this morning. I am fascinated with Annie Sloan’s paint, but can’t choose a color for the dresser I want to paint. Do you teach any classes or do any demo’s?
