Don’t ask me why, but I love the idea of a bar cart and it is back! Who came up with this ingenious way to store & serve drinks? Like me, I’m sure you’ve been seeing them pop up everywhere.
Next to a stack of books? What could be better?
I realize they are a bit more mid-century than what I’m used to. Maybe it’s my love & nostalgia for one of my favorite movies The Graduate. (There must have been one somewhere in Mrs. Robinson’s house.)
Of course in the right setting or in a small space I kinda feel like there’s something sophisticated about one. Is it just me? No, not just me. Every catalog seems to have one now & they are all over Houzz.
Course, displaying a streamline color or label makes it look even prettier.
Love this old industrial cart. I did something similar in my dining room and chalk painted it.
Dear sister Sharon of mine, I can totally see this in your more modern Brooklyn digs.
Only Wednesday?! Is it cocktail time on a nice, cushy chair yet?

We just purchased a lot of six industrial metal carts at auction…guess how we are going to style them for sale, in our studio?? I had it in mind when we bid on them and soon after I received the Restoration Hardware catalog (small spaces) that featured an industrial style bar cart. BTW, your blog is so enjoyable! I am a mixed media artist that has discovered a love of repainting older, good quality furniture. My husband is a wonderful carpenter, so it seemed a natural partnership. Best wishes on your new opportunities from a kindred spirit in upstate NY.
