I am super excited to talk about my next guest here on Blue Egg Brown Nest – Uncommon Goods! I started getting their catalog a few years ago. Chances are you have too.
They are a company out of Brooklyn, which makes them extra cool because this is where my one and only sister lives with her sweet family.
(Brooklyn Army Terminal – where their offices are.)
Uncommon Goods work with artists and designers to offer innovative and creative products. All their offerings are environmentally and animal-friendly as we should all strive to be, yes? Most are made in the USA and about 1/3 of their products are made from recycled & upcycled materials. How many companies can say that?
Since they are an independently supported business they have the freedom to donate a portion of each purchase to a few chosen non-profits like RAINN, City Harvest and Women for Women International. This is their “Better to Give” attitude. Love that.
Let’s check out some of their clever products here.
I have always loved these hand sew pillows. Faux animal heads? Yes, please.
Dear Husband, check out some of their mother’s day offerings here🙂
Of course I had to highlight anything bird related….or tea related.
They have personalized projects too. Journal love here.
I have always been impressed by Uncommon Goods’ selection of innovative and clever products, but I did not know everything about the integrity of the company. I love that they find it so important to serve the creative designer. In a world where we are bombarded by commercialism it is so important to highlight those individuals that work with their hands and also strive to produce environmentally responsible products.
Hello, custom family pillow.
I love the idea of supporting a company that has a conscience. I think it is so important.
