You may have read this book by Laura Numeroff to your kids. This is the story of a mouse that is given a cookie by a little boy, which leads to him asking for a glass of milk a million other things. It’s silly. It was me yesterday.
I started painting a few little birdcages for my upcoming holiday tea. The sun was coming in through the window, Reid was playing quietly with his legos and there were two orange cats sitting near me on the kitchen stools.
I wanted to paint more.
I almost grabbed the napkin holder, the candlesticks, and the coffee table. Pause. Do I want a blue coffee table? Maybe not. Oh, but there is that little white table out in the garage that I have always loved and has not sold. I can paint that!
I guess I’ll take a break while Owen takes his nap on it.
Perfect Friday afternoon.
