I am officially back in the swing of things – and so are you all! Spring and Fall are usually the busiest times for me for refinishing. I think these are the times in the year that we all want a fresh look in our homes and if we’ve been dragging our feet through the cold winter the first warm day starts to light a fire under us. Yes? I know I have the urge to move things around, paint, tear up carpet, and buy new curtains.
This piece brought to me by a first-time client is an example of how you can take a basic dresser or console and turn it into something weathered & unique. Here is what it looked like before.
I encouraged her to keep the hardware as it because I thought it added interest to the piece. Here it is in process. Yes, I do take out the drawers, but as I work I like to put them back in to make sure everything is cohesive.
Here is the after.
I added the Duck Egg interior for a little surprise inside.
I like to leave the interior a bit more rough.

Welcome back! Yes love your YouTube tutes! So super helpful down here in New Zealand. Product been available here for anout 18mnths. Really getting into the Restyling and am looking at holding some workshops next Spring/Summer, once I have a few more sold pieces under my belt! What a transformation. You’ve turned it into an interesting piece. Looks like French Linen or Paris Gray. Both are favorite colors of mine.
